Open Letter to McDonalds

Dear McDonalds,

Go ahead…I dare you! I double dare you:

McDonald’s Corp. has warned federal regulators that it could drop its health insurance plan for nearly 30,000 hourly restaurant workers unless regulators waive a new requirement of the U.S. health overhaul.

Politics is cyclic. Fortunes wax and wane, ebb and flow. But the now-catatonic persons who swept large house and Senate Democratic majorities into office along with President Obama, are going to awake and be angry when they lose some of their power, only to have the wingnuts grind our country to a damaging halt (I mean…more damaging then what they are now doing as a minority party).

So, go ahead and do that, because the left will awaken and they will be angry again. And there is, perhaps, no bigger, better, juicer, and more delicious target upon which to vent this anger then your fine (and fast) culinary enterprise. Yeah…it is probably true that Liberals (particularly the angry radical ones) are not big McD customers. But unless you luck out and Wal-Mart does something even stupider, if you make good on your threats, the angry left will sprinkle negative media upon your corporate cone.

Can you say “collective bargaining?”
