Some Idiots Made an Anti-Burner Ad

Someone apparently hired idiots to write and produce an anti-Burner campaign ad. Here is a transcription of the ad, with my comments interspersed. (A YouTube version of the ad is here.)

Darcy Burner is throwing mud at her opponent. Maybe it is so she won’t have to talk about her own position on the issues—at least not to some voters.

Okay…so it sound like we are about to be told about all the mud Darcy is flinging at her opponent so that she doesn’t have to talk about her positions….

But she told her liberal supporters that “we should let the tax cuts expire” even though it means tax increases for families, seniors and small business owners, a return to the marriage penalty, and half the child tax credit wiped out.

Say what? That is “flinging mud?” They just quoted her as stating some positions (and positions they’ve invented). Ain’t no mud flung from Darcy there. The only mud flinging is the someone throwing out made-up positions for Darcy.

Darcy Burner is throwing mud. No wonder…if she tells the truth, she’ll lose.

There…they said it again! What the fuck are they talking about? They didn’t say or show anything at all that can be construed as Darcy flinging mud at her opponent.

Who are the fucking idiots responsible for this ad?

The National Republican Congressional Committee paid for and is responsible for the content of this message.

Oh…them. Well…at least they are taking responsibility for their litter…you know, like Hastert taking responsibility for not acting on the complaints about Foley. I mean, the buck stops with Hastert, even if he isn’t going to really do anything about it. Likewise, don’t expect the NRCC to actually take responsibility and correct their ad.

The buck does stop with the NRCC…and, until they correct the ad, they are liars. Liars with an idiot ad writer. (Oh…and an idiot producer, too. Their “mud” looks like a crinkled up rag—very amateurish.)

Darcy corrects the claims falsely attributed to her by the NRCC at her web site. Get the truth here.

And help spread the truth here.

    Darryl-Thanks for posting this.

The NRCC didn’t mention the fact that Dave Reichert voted to remove the cap on credit card interest rates. I now pay a “Dave Reichert Credit Card Tax” each month. At least tax money goes to the state; Dave Reicherts Credit Card Tax is just a transfer of wealth to the credit card companies.

If Dave Reichert and the republicans han’t totally lost control of the budget, maybe they wouldn’t be so paranoid about taxes. Someone needs to be the adult here, and return us to fiscal sanity; its clear that the Republicans arent going be fiscally responsible any time in the near future.

And the Head of the NRCC (who made this ad) knew about Mark Foley, and urged him to run again anyway.

I left a couple of voice mails with the RNCC folks letting them know that lying to me wasn’t a very effective way of getting my vote.

    Michael,
Nice! I hope it was a long message. I keeps ‘em from doing other evil deeds.
