Supreme Court Diversity
There is now one conservative who has figured out what Judge Sotomayor was getting at with the “wise Latina” statement.
At the same time, this conservative has violated two other Wingnut tenets: (1) he admits that he was initially wrong about Sotomayor’s statement, and he contradicts the Wingnut talking point, suggesting that he finds empathy of value in a judge. (I.e. he falsifies the fundamental premise in the Wingnut War on Empathy™)
I’m guessing that this guy is going to be sitting in the Wingnut penalty box with Colin Powell for awhile.
In the mean time, Wingding Newt Gingrich lacks any coherent comprehension about what Sotomayor was getting at by her statement.
You know…that Gingrich is incapable of understanding a perfectly reasonable statement made by a minority woman provides a powerful demonstration of why diversity on the Supreme Court is essential to achieve the ideal of “Equal Justice Under Law”. I’m just sayin’….
