Two New New Jersey Polls Weigh-in

There are two new state head-to-head polls today that weigh in on the 2008 election. And they are both from New Jersey:

Rasmussen shows Sen. Hillary Clinton with an 11% point lead over Sen. John McCain (50% to 39%). The Fairleigh Dickenson polls shows Clinton leading by a narrower 4% margin (43% to 39%). A mid-February Quinnipiac poll split the difference, giving Clinton a 6% margin (47% to 41%).

Sen. Barack Obama is losing to McCain in the Rasmussen poll (43% to 45%), but Obama is up by 5% in the Fairleigh Dickenson poll (43% to 38%). The mid-February Quinnipiac poll had Obama leading with a 7% margin (46% to 39%).

These polls will make little difference in the simulation analyses I’ve been doing—both Clinton and Obama should now win New Jersey 100% of the time instead of 99 point something percent of the time. Even so, I’ll post new analyses later this evening.
